Volleyball Game Preview: Atascadero Greyhounds vs. Reedley Pirates

The Atascadero Greyhounds will challenge the Reedley Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Atascadero is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Tulare Western as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-12, 25-14.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Reedley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Independence on Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-16, 25-19.

Atascadero's win bumped their record up to 25-10. As for Reedley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-12-1 record this season.

Atascadero came out on top in a nail-biter against Reedley in their previous matchup back in September of 2021, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Greyhounds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
