Baseball Recap: Taylor County Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Taylor County's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They never let the Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks get on the board and left with a 3-0 win.

Not much got past Kyler Campbell, who gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Port St. Joe off the board. Those 11 strikeouts gave Campbell a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Taylor County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kolton Parker, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Taylor County pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs over those games. As for Port St. Joe, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. As for Port St. Joe, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Blountstown at 5:30 p.m.
