Soccer Game Preview: Marshall vs. Stevens

Marshall and Stevens are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but likely not for long. The Marshall Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Stevens Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Marshall will be strutting in after a win while Stevens will be coming in after a loss.

Marshall's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Holmes by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, Stevens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to O'Connor. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 611th, while the Panthers are ranked 193rd).

The victory got Marshall back to even at 6-6-1. As for Stevens, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Everything went Marshall's way against Stevens in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, as Marshall made off with a 3-0 win. Does Marshall have another victory up their sleeve, or will Stevens turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
