After soaring to 15 runs the game before, Flour Bluff was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They fell 5-2 to the Carroll Tigers. The Hornets' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Flour Bluff saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Veda Pressley, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. Pressley is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Flour Bluff's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Carroll, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-2.

Looking ahead, Flour Bluff will venture away from home to face off against Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial will roll in looking for their 19th straight win, something Flour Bluff surely won't give up without a fight. As for Carroll, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Carroll Tigers face off against Gregory-Portland Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Their pitchers better be ready for this one: Gregory-Portland has averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
