Central Wisconsin Christian waltzed into their contest on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They put the hurt on the Wayland Academy Big Red with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Crusaders also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Central Wisconsin Christian took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-9, 25-12.

Leading Central Wisconsin Christian to victory were Hannah Abel and Tirzah Ritzema. Abel had six aces and five digs, while Ritzema had eight assists and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Ritzema a new career-high in digs (two). Kelsie Bos also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Central Wisconsin Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matchups.

Central Wisconsin Christian's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Wayland Academy, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.
