Softball Recap: Smyrna Bulldogs vs. Wilson Central Wildcats
Smyrna proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Wilson Central Wildcats 2-1. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Adaeze Nwogbo made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Nwogbo wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Talia Paredes, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Smyrna pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.
