Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Shafter

Shafter had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the McFarland Cougars as they made off with a 10-2 win. Considering the Generals have won seven games by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Shafter's record is now 10-4-1. As for McFarland, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Shafter and McFarland will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time Shafter sees the field they'll take on Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on April 8. As for McFarland, their break will end when they face Chavez at 6:00 p.m. on April 22.
