Valdez came tearing into Friday's matchup with 12 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Seward Seahawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 1-0 back in August.

Valdez's victory bumped their record up to 31-7. As for Seward, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Valdez wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 1-0 win against Colony on the 10th. As for Seward, they will head out to take on Nikiski at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last five games the Bulldogs have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
