Basketball Recap: Eastern Mennonite Flames vs. Virginia Episcopal School Bishops

Eastern Mennonite was the 68-58 winner over Virginia Episcopal School when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eastern Mennonite Flames had to suffer through a 78-48 loss at the hands of the Virginia Episcopal School Bishops.

It was another big night for Marquez Barrera, who dropped a double-double with 33 points and ten boards for Virginia Episcopal School. Barrera continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Braden Norris was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Eastern Mennonite's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Virginia Episcopal School, their win bumped their record up to 10-19.

Eastern Mennonite does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Virginia Episcopal School, they will challenge Hargrave Military Academy on Tuesday.
