Preview: Perkiomen Valley Vikings vs. Boyertown Bears
The Perkiomen Valley Vikings's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Boyertown Bears at 6:45 p.m. on December 19th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Wednesday, Perkiomen Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Cardinal O'Hara, taking the game 51-44.
Meanwhile, Boyertown scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 70-67 win from a begrudging Bearssquad. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Boyertown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braedyn Johnson, who scored 18 points along with seven assists and four steals. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Greaves, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Perkiomen Valley pushed their record up to 4-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Boyertown's record now sits at 5-1.
Perkiomen Valley couldn't quite finish off Boyertown in their previous matchup back in January and fell 46-44. Can Perkiomen Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
