Soccer Recap: Monterey Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Monterey was not quite Hollister's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hollister Haybalers.

Monterey's goal came courtesy of Ethan Bonilla, who's now up to 17 this season.

Monterey's loss dropped their record down to 10-4-3. As for Hollister, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6-3.

Coming up, Monterey will challenge Everett Alvarez at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Everett Alvarez will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Monterey surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hollister, they will welcome Alisal at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Alisal's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
