Football Recap: St. John Find Success + How To Watch

St. John was handed a 28-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Midway/Minto Mustangs 30-28. The Woodchucks haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Peyton Belgarde had a dynamite game, rushing for 257 yards and four scores while picking up 16.1 yards per carry. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (57.6).

Belgarde was just one part of a punishing run game: St. John was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 255 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Midway/Minto only rushed for four rushing yards.

St. John's record now sits at 2-3. As for Midway/Minto, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
