Basketball Recap: Cooper Takes a Loss

Cooper made up a huge gap compared to their last game against De Kalb, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Bears by a score of 45-42 on Saturday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Cooper still got an impressive performance from Jequan Brown, who went 7-for-17 to rack up 21 points and three steals. The contest was Brown's seventh in a row with at least 16 points. James Sneed was another key player, putting up eight points.

Cooper now has a losing record of 1-2. As for De Kalb, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Cooper has already played their next matchup, a 58-48 victory against Honey Grove on the 6th. As for De Kalb, they will take on Gladewater at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
