Softball Recap: Climax-Scotts Gets the Win

Parchment typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Climax-Scotts proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against Parchment by a score of 7-3.

Alyse Langs spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up nine Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Addi Dzwik, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.

Climax-Scotts' victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Parchment, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-3.

Looking ahead, Climax-Scotts will head out on the road to take on Burr Oak at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Parchment, they will welcome Allegan at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.17 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
