Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sandhills/Thedford). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Sandhills Valley Mavericks 57-26. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Knights considering their 25-point performance the game before.

Sandhills Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Avery Weems, who posted nine points and three steals. Weems is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kelsey Amos, who had four points and eight boards.

Sandhills/Thedford pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points per game. As for Sandhills Valley, they are on a 31-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Sandhills/Thedford will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Burwell on February 6th. Sandhills Valley has already played their next contest, a 62-45 defeat against Maxwell on the 23rd.
