Football Recap: Lewisburg Comes Up Short

Lewisburg lost against Southaven back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Patriots came up short against the Chargers, falling 31-7. The game marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Jacob Manns threw for 26 yards on three of nine attempts. On the ground, Lukas Edwards rushed for 47 yards.

Lewisburg is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. As for Southaven, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lewisburg will host Hernando at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southaven, they will welcome DeSoto Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers will be up against the Jaguars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
