Flag Football Recap: Aaliyah Wilcox Leads Destiny Christian Academy's Defense on Monday + How To Watch

Destiny Christian Academy won the last time they faced Sutter and things went their way on Monday too. The Lions enjoyed a cozy 39-20 win over the Huskies. The Lions pushed the score to 32-12 by the end of the third, a deficit the Huskies cut but never quite recovered from.

Destiny Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Aaliyah Wilcox, Kyla Brown, and Mckayla Fulmer picked up one apiece. Fulmer got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Sutter still got an impressive performance from Audrey Horn, who picked up 145 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Horn showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 66 yards. Mia Bautista was another key player, having thrown for 259 yards and two touchdowns.

The victory made it two in a row for Destiny Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 14-8. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 5-11 El Camino and 6-13 Sutter. As for Sutter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Destiny Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 7-0 defeat against Natomas on the 22nd. Sutter has also already played their next matchup (against El Camino), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
