Basketball Recap: Alliance Comes Up Short

Alliance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the New Philadelphia Quakers 57-8. While losing is never fun, the Aviators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 727th, while the Quakers are ranked 233rd).

Alliance's defeat dropped their record down to 0-21. As for New Philadelphia, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Alliance won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Leetonia at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. New Philadelphia has already played their next contest (against Lexington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
