Dakota is 8-2 against Anchor Bay since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cougars will face off against the Tars at 4:30 p.m. Dakota is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Dakota is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Michigan's top teams: Saline, who was ranked seventh at the time (Dakota was ranked 15th). The Cougars lost 11-1 to the Hornets on Friday.

Kiley Phelan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double.

Meanwhile, Anchor Bay hadn't done well against Dakota recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Tars came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cougars, sneaking past 8-6.

Anchor Bay's victory bumped their record up to 23-11. As for Dakota, their loss dropped their record down to 20-11.

Dakota couldn't quite finish off Anchor Bay in their previous matchup on Tuesday and fell 8-6. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
