Soccer Game Preview: Gilroy vs. Oak Grove

The Gilroy Mustangs will venture away from home to face off against the Oak Grove Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Gilroy's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Gilroy will head out to face Oak Grove after giving up their first home loss of the season on Thursday. Gilroy fell just short of Ann Sobrato by a score of 3-2. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Mustangs came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 294th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 1088th).

Meanwhile, Oak Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 6-0 to Leland.

Oak Grove's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Gilroy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1-2.
