Softball Recap: Oneida Comes Up Short

If Oneida was riding high fresh off their 28-10 takedown of Vernon-Verona-Sherrill on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Express lost 7-0 to the Chittenango Bears on Friday.

Oneida now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Chittenango, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Oneida is taking a road trip to square off against East Syracuse-Minoa at 11:00 a.m. on the 26th. As for Chittenango, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Cicero-North Syracuse at 11:45 a.m. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Northstars have averaged an impressive 11.2 runs per game this season.
