Basketball Recap: Chicago Christian Comes Up Short

Chicago Christian lost against Timothy Christian back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chicago Christian Knights fell to the Timothy Christian Trojans 43-38.

When it comes to explaining why Chicago Christian lost, don't look at Imani Frazier. Despite the final result, she posted 14 points along with six rebounds and six steals. The dominant performance also gave Frazier a new career-high in blocks (three). Another player making a difference was Sydney Harris, who had two points and ten boards.

Timothy Christian found their leader in sophomore Elisabeth Van Den Berg, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. Maria Pozol-Neigo was another key player, putting up five points in addition to eight boards and five assists.

Chicago Christian's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Timothy Christian, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-10.

Chicago Christian has already played their next match, a 59-26 win against Westminster Christian on the 29th. As for Timothy Christian, they will face off against St. Edward at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
