Sacred Heart Academy put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 48-25 margin over the Merrill Vandals. The Irish have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 23 points or more this season.

Sacred Heart Academy pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.7 points per game. As for Merrill, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Sacred Heart Academy will face off against Ashley at 5:30 p.m. on January 17th. As for Merrill, they will square off against Michigan Lutheran Seminary at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
