Preview: Rossville Bulldogs vs. Pleasant Ridge Rams
Rossville is 5-0 against Pleasant Ridge since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Rossville Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Pleasant Ridge Rams at 7:00 p.m. Rossville should still be feeling good after a big victory, while Pleasant Ridge will be looking to get back into the win column.
Last Friday, Rossville got themselves on the board against Holton, but Holton never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Wildcats as they made off with a 21-0 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Rossville just coasted through the last quarter.
Tayson Horak looked great while leading his team to the win, gaining 109 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Pleasant Ridge fell victim to Silver Lake's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 54-0 loss at the hands of the Eagles. While losing is never fun, Pleasant Ridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 186th, while Silver Lake is ranked 44th).
Rossville's victory on Friday bumped their record up to 3-3. Pleasant Ridge has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Rossville against Pleasant Ridge in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 56-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rossville since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
