Baseball Recap: Castle View Comes Up Short

Castle View played against Fruita Monument on Saturday and lost via forfeit.

Castle View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Harper, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Brandon Favaro also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Castle View's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Fruita Monument, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Castle View wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-6 victory against Mullen on the 30th. As for Fruita Monument, they will venture away from home to face off against Montrose at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
