Softball Game Preview: Albemarle Bulldogs vs. Concord Spiders

The Albemarle Bulldogs will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Concord Spiders at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Albemarle's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three contests, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Albemarle's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to North Stanly, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Concord's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against Central Cabarrus, falling 10-4.

McKinley Williams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Peyton Aagaard, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Albemarle, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
