MaxPreps regional high school football computer rankings: South region

Edna Karr jumps 11 spots from No. 20 to No. 9; Central (Phenix City, Ala.) also reached top 10.

The top seven teams in the MaxPreps south region football computer rankings remained the same, but Edna Karr made a big jump as it went from No. 20 to No. 9 this week.

Central, meanwhile, moved up seven points from No. 17 to No. 10 while Gonzaga moved from No. 19 to No. 12.

The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps National Football Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard. The South region includes teams from Florida, Tennessee, Maryland, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Washington D.C., Kentucky, Arkansas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
