Basketball Recap: Colonial Heights Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Prince George, Colonial Heights was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Nottoway Cougars by a score of 36-24. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 64-31 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Nottoway still got an impressive performance from Hailie Turner, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lorraine Wilson, who posted four points and seven boards.

Colonial Heights' win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Nottoway, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Colonial Heights has already played their next matchup (against J.R. Tucker), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Nottoway didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-30 defeat against Amelia County on the 14th.
