 Crowley County and Rocky Ford are an even 5-5 against one another  since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Crowley County Chargers will be staying on the road  on Friday to face off against the Rocky Ford Meloneers at 10:00  a.m. Crowley County will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  matchup than the last.
 Crowley County scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Saturday. They put the hurt on Florence with a sharp  17-2 win.
  Seth Schultz was a major factor no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Schultz was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs and a  triple.
 In other batting news, Crowley County let  Derreck Buford and  Landon Smith loose on the outfield. Buford  went 1-for-3 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  run, while  Smith  scored a  run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tritt Buhr, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Rocky Ford fell victim to a  rough 13-3 defeat at the hands of St. Mary's  on Tuesday. Rocky Ford has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Nash Lovato was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Lovato is crushing it when it comes to  stolen bases: he's   stolen at least one every time he's  taken the field this season.
 Crowley County's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Rocky Ford, they now  have a losing record at 2-3.
 Friday's   game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Crowley County has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .458. However, it's not like Rocky Ford struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .452. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Everything went Crowley County's way against Rocky Ford in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023 as Crowley County made off with  a  21-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crowley County since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
