Denver Christian dropped their record down to 13-7 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 9-0 to the Colorado Academy Mustangs. The shutout was out of character for the Thunder seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Denver Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Reilly, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

As for Colorado Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games.

On Colorado Academy's side, Charlie Rakowski was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Rakowski has posted since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Kieran Delaney was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Jordan Reiter was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs.

While Denver Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
