Football Recap: Somersworth Piles Up the Points Against Sanborn Regional

Somersworth got themselves on the board against Sanborn Regional on Friday, but Sanborn Regional never followed suit. They took their game with ease, bagging a 44-0 victory over the Indians. The Toppers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

Kaleb Hefler had a dynamite game, rushing for 102 yards and three scores on only five carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Somersworth's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. The heavy lifting was done by Brian Bjorkman and Nate Gray, who racked up four sacks between them.

Somersworth's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Sanborn Regional, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Somersworth didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 26-22 loss against Campbell on the 27th. As for Sanborn Regional, they have also already played their next matchup, a 45-6 defeat against Monadnock on the 27th.
