Volleyball Recap: Herscher Tigers vs. Wilmington Wildcats

Herscher lost against Wilmington back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-9.

Wilmington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sami Liaromatis out in front who had 11 digs and two aces. Gabby Kluk also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Herscher's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Wilmington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Herscher will take on Lisle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wilmington, they will square off against Seneca at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
