Baseball Recap: Donna Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Donna won against Lopez on Tuesday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Redskins came out on top against the Lobos by a score of 11-6. The game was the first time the Redskins have beaten the Lobos on their field since March 7, 2023.

The team relied heavily on Ethan Rincon, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Donna's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 7-1 (and 8-11 when he doesn't). Ronaldo Bocanegra was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Donna was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They are 7-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Lopez, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 17 of their last 18 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-22-1 record this season.
