Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Coronado's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Coronado won the last time they faced Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Islanders came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 3-1.

While Coronado might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Christian scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 23-25, 25-19.

Ashlynn Proctor paced Coronado's offense, picking up 23 kills. Proctor got some help from Brooke Proctor and her 37 assists. Finally, Madison Davis kept Coronado's defense grounded, leading the team with eight blocks.

Coronado has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 30-6 record this season. As for Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Coronado will venture away from home to square off against Scripps Ranch at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Christian, they will head out to face off against Patrick Henry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
