Recap: Alba-Golden Panthers vs. Cooper Bulldogs
The Alba-Golden Panthers came tearing into Friday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They secured a 45-41 W over Cooper. The score was all tied up 20-20 at the break, but Alba-Golden was the better team in the second half.
Despite the loss, Cooper still got an impressive performance from Bayleigh George, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. George has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.
Alba-Golden is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Cooper, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
