Football Game Preview: Marion Wolves vs. Clear Creek-Amana Clippers

The Marion Wolves will venture away from home to square off against the Clear Creek-Amana Clippers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Marion hasn't scored more than six points for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Marion's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Pella on Friday. They had to suffer through a 48-0 loss at the hands of the Dutch. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Dutch are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, Clear Creek-Amana didn't have quite enough to beat Grinnell on Friday and fell 28-25. That's two games in a row now that the Clippers have lost by exactly three points.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Clear Creek-Amana, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Marion suffered a grim 28-3 defeat to Clear Creek-Amana in their previous meeting back in August of 2024. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
