Franklin is 9-1 against Rockdale since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Franklin Lions duke it out with the Rockdale Tigers at 6:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Franklin's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Rockdale has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

If Franklin beats Rockdale with 60 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Franklin came out on top against Lexington by a score of 60-50 on Tuesday. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Eagles are ranked 493rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Rockdale came up short against Little River Academy on Tuesday, falling 59-36.

Franklin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Rockdale, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Everything came up roses for Franklin against Rockdale when the teams last played back in February of 2020, as the team secured a 67-34 win. Does Franklin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rockdale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
