Baseball Game Preview: 'Aiea Na Alii vs. Waipahu Marauders

The 'Aiea Na Alii will square off against the Waipahu Marauders at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for 'Aiea and five for Waipahu.

'Aiea is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Hawaii's top teams: Mililani, who was ranked first at the time ('Aiea was ranked 22nd). The Na Alii fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Na Alii were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Waipahu came up short against Mililani on Saturday, falling 16-2.

Waipahu saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chavis Acol, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. That run was Acol's first of the season.

Waipahu's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for 'Aiea, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
