Volleyball Recap: South Kingstown's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

After a string of four wins, South Kingstown's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against the Chariho Chargers, falling 3-0. If the Rebels were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Chargers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 25-17.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chariho to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaxson Vachon, who had 19 digs and one assist. Vachon has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last nine times he's played.

South Kingstown's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Chariho, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Kingstown will host Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chariho, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cranston West at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
