Volleyball Recap: Sebeka Comes Up Short

Sebeka suffered their biggest loss since September 11th on Thursday. They came up short against the Henning Hornets, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 last Saturday.

Sebeka was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21, 25-22.

Saje Jansson paced Sebeka's offense, picking up 11 kills. Jansson got some help from Sofia Pulju and her 27 assists. Jansson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Sebeka's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Henning, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-9.

Looking ahead, Sebeka will head out to square off against Bertha-Hewitt at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Henning, they will host Parkers Prairie at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday.
