Softball Recap: Monte Vista Christian Takes a Loss

Monte Vista Christian lost against Soledad back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Aztecs by a score of 13-12. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Samantha Bertoldi led a balanced group of hitters, going 4-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Kayla Fullalove-Silveira, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs.

Monte Vista Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Soledad, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

Monte Vista Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-4 victory against Santa Cruz on the 5th. As for Soledad, they have also already played their next matchup, a 15-10 win against King City on the 6th.
