Volleyball Recap: Cedar Springs Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cedar Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Sparta Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15.

Taylor Babcock paced Cedar Springs' offense, picking up five kills. Babcock got some help from Elsie Kacpryzk and her six assists. Kendall Fisk controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Cedar Springs' loss dropped their record down to 10-28-3. As for Sparta, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.

Cedar Springs will square off against Fremont at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sparta, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Grant on the 29th.
