Eric Mendez posted a new career-low in hits on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Mendez's strong effort led Carl Hayden Community over Central and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
