Baseball Game Preview: Oak Ridge Trojans vs. Rocklin Thunder

For the second straight game, Oak Ridge will face off against Rocklin. The Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Thunder at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Oak Ridge took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Rocklin, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trojans won by a run and slipped past the Thunder 2-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Trojans as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jackson Molloy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Oak Ridge is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-14 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Oak Ridge secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Matt Burns, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Oak Ridge's win bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Rocklin, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-6.
