Softball Recap: Treutlen Wins Going Away Against Mcintosh County Academy

Treutlen won the last time they faced McIntosh County Academy and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Vikings blew past the Buccaneers 13-1. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won 11 games by eight runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Ruthie Blair, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in August. Jada Wright was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Treutlen has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for McIntosh County Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-20 record this season.

Treutlen will face off against Putnam County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McIntosh County Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
