Basketball Game Preview: Dunwoody Wildcats vs. Chamblee Bulldogs

The Dunwoody Wildcats will face off against the Chamblee Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Dunwoody is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They received a blow as they fell 76-58 to Decatur. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 97th).

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Chamblee's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 74-58 bruising from Woodward Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (56), the Bulldogs still had to take the loss.

Dunwoody's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Chamblee, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6.

Dunwoody was able to grind out a solid victory over Chamblee in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 58-47. Will Dunwoody repeat their success, or does Chamblee have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
