Holy Cross is 2-8 against Dunmore since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Crusaders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bucks at 4:30 p.m.
Holy Cross is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Wednesday. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Honesdale. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Crusaders have suffered since May 1, 2024.

Josh Lentowski was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Holy Cross is 2-1 when Lentowski posts two or more runs, but 2-6 otherwise.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Dunmore, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They never let Western Wayne get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory on Wednesday. The Bucks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Jackson Cady was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Matt Iezzi was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Dunmore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Western Wayne only posted an OBP of .125.
Dunmore's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Holy Cross, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Holy Cross skirted past Dunmore 9-8 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Do the Crusaders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bucks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
