Basketball Recap: Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Comes Up Short

Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a blow against the Belle Chasse Cardinals, falling 77-45. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 86-67 last Friday.

Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Nathan Goodwin, who posted 13 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Antonio Castro, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 15 points.

Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-22. As for Belle Chasse, their victory bumped their record up to 14-17.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy will square off against St. Charles Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Belle Chasse, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cardinals challenge the Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Belle Chasse has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 237 points over their last three matches.
