Basketball Recap: Maconaquah's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Maconaquah and Manchester, and Manchester kept the tradition alive. The Braves took a 51-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Squires on Saturday. The loss put an end to the Braves' undefeated start to the season.

When it comes to explaining why Maconaquah lost, don't look at Aubrey Stoll. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Addie Maiben, who posted six points and three steals.

Emma Walker went supernova For Manchester., dropping a double-double with 20 points and 21 boards. That's the most points Walker has posted since back in December of 2024. Hadley West was another key player, putting up six points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Maconaquah fell to 2-1. As for Manchester, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
