Volleyball Recap: Brookstone Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Brookstone extended their postseason success on Saturday against Valwood. They put the hurt on the Valiants with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Brookstone found their leader in freshman Evangeline Gutierrez, who had 11 digs and four aces. Gutierrez has been hot for a while, having also posted 15 or more assists the last 21 times she's played.

Brookstone's victory bumped their record up to 27-6. As for Valwood, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 19-11.

Coming up, Brookstone will face off against St. Anne-Pacelli at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Valwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
